Dutch things that are surprisingly famous elsewhere

Dutch things that are surprisingly famous elsewhere

Today, I stumbled upon this article.

https://www.neerlandistiek.nl/2020/08/marga-minco-in-india/

It's about a 1957 short story by Dutch author Marga Minco that has been a compulsory read for Indian high school students for decades.

Now of course most Dutch people have at least heard of Marga Minco, but I was surprised to find out that literally tens of millions of Indians know her work.

Anyone know more examples of this?
